In this session, you will learn how to create puppets out of common household items (i.e., dishwashing gloves, socks, or cardboard, scissors, and markers for shadow puppets), learn about all the different ways they can be used, explore the various benefits of use, and don’t forget to gran your little one for puppet show demo!

Got a cardboard box? Don’t toss it! Join Thinkery, Austin’s Children’s Museum, as we share a few of our favorite ways to play with cardboard boxes. In this session, we’ll explore three activities for infants and toddlers, including ways parents and caregivers can encourage early science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) learning through play and the benefits of engaging in this way with young children.
